Can Halle Steal The Show?

Halle Berry will stretch her acting muscles in a new role she's landed playing a true life, notorious jewel thief in the upcoming biopic, Who Is Doris Payne. The film is based on the true story of Doris Payne, a woman who spent over six decades at large, making a lucrative living of robbing precious gems.

Today, the real Doris Payne is 75 years old and as her story has been told, began at the young age of thirteen effortlessly pulling off countless heists. She's hit Tiffany’s in New York, Bvlgari in Rome, Her Royal Majesty’s jeweler, Garrard’s in London, even once walking out of Cartier in Monte Carlo with a 10.5 carat diamond ring nestled on her finger. This is a story I'm eager to see relived on film.

This spring, also look out for Berry in Perfect Stranger, as she will play a major New York city reporter going undercover to investigate the unsolved mystery of a murdered childhood friend.
