A Life Celebrated: Gerald Levert Dies at 40

Reports of Gerald Levert's passing have been confirmed by the legendary R&B crooner's record label today. According to reports, Levert succumbed to a fatal heart attack in his Ohio home. I am simply stunned that he's gone so young, yet there is no doubt that he's left an unforgettable legacy. Like so many of us, I grew up appreciating his powerful voice and sultry sound. A man so immensely talented will surely be missed. May he rest in peace.
